Becky Begins Her Session Stylist Journey with Kevin Murphy

Becky Begins Her Session Stylist Journey with Kevin Murphy

At Fred & Ginger, we believe that education never stops – and our very own Becky is a perfect example of that. This month, she travelled to Wolverhampton to attend an elite Kevin Murphy Session Stylist training, taught by none other than industry expert Tyson.

This training is part of a carefully selected programme, where stylists are handpicked by Kevin Murphy to begin their journey into session styling – the kind of work you see behind the scenes at fashion weeks, photo shoots, and editorial campaigns.

What Becky Learnt

The course was packed with cutting-edge techniques and creative insights. Becky had hands-on training in:

Heatless waves and modern texture styling

Creating secure, elegant hair-ups without the need for visible clips or grips

How to choose and layer the right Kevin Murphy products to create long-lasting, fashion-forward looks

Fast, on-trend techniques that are salon-friendly but editorial-worthy

Becky also gained insight into how stylists work under pressure, on set, and on location – giving her a whole new perspective on bringing high fashion looks into our everyday salon services.

What This Means For You

Becky’s training isn’t just a personal milestone – it means we can now bring even more creativity and knowledge directly to our guests. Whether you’re after a special occasion hair-up, soft glam waves, or a product consultation to help recreate the look at home, you’ll be in expert hands.

We’re so proud of Becky and can’t wait for you to see these new skills in action.
